The Scottish Magazine Awards represent a unique opportunity for Scottish magazine publishers to gain industry recognition for the outstanding achievements of a publication, initiative or individual during the past twelve months. 2011 Final Shortlist
Magazine publishing companies from across Scotland submitted 149 entries for this year’s Awards. Submissions spanning the fields of business, entertainment, communication, design, sport, history, politics, young people and medical science were scrutinised by the distinguished panel of judges. 96 entries were selected for the final shortlist.
Who were the judges?
Terry Mansfield CBE, former chief executive of the National Magazine Company and consultant to the Hearst Corporation, headed up a prestigious team of judges including the Chairman of IPA Scotland, Chairman of CIPR Scotland, European Business Development Manager of BPA Worldwide and other leading lights from the creative industries.
