Advertising Sales Executive
The Freetime Initiative, publishers of Run ABC magazine, have an exciting opportunity for a desk-based Advertising Sales Executive to join their vibrant team in Glasgow.
About the role
You will be responsible for growing revenue across several successful business-to-business sports magazines and associated websites.
You will be passionate about sales and advertising and be capable of developing strong relationships with direct advertisers through regular telephone contact and negotiation.
You will provide a creative approach to delivering client led solutions and demonstrate a clear understanding of individual client needs.
You will be accustomed to working to targets and deadlines in a commercial sales environment.
Skills and experience
The ideal candidate will have:
> Demonstrable commercial awareness and experience in a media sales environment is preferred.
> Strong communication, interpersonal and team working skills to liaise effectively with colleagues.
> Creativity and tenacity in new business development.
> Driven approach and use of own initiative, highly motivated to deliver against targets and overcome challenges.
> Positive and proactive attitude to manage a high volume of work and conflicting priorities calmly and effectively.
> Strong organisational, planning and administration skills.
> Strong IT skills.
> Excellent command of spoken and written English
The successful candidate will work within a small team in one of Scotland’s up and coming publishing companies in a professional and driven environment.
Remuneration and applications
A basic salary plus generous commission based on achievement of targets will result in on target earnings of £30K.
