PPA Credit Awards 2007

This year's PPA Credit Awards were held at a lunchtime ceremony hosted by Chris Evans of Charterhouse Communications. Chris also acts as the chairman of PPA's Agency Recognition Committee. The awards followed the Credit managers’ seminar at PPA's Magazines and Business Media conference.

The awards presented were in the following six categories:

• Magazine Credit Team of the Year
• Magazine Credit Manager of the Year
• Magazine Credit Controller of the Year
• Magazine Credit Supplier of the Year
• Agency Accounts Payable Team of the Year
• Agency Accounts Payable Employee of the Year

Magazine Credit Team of the Year

This year's finalists were:

• CMP Information
• Future Publishing
• William Reed Publishing

The winning credit team was described as having a successful year with outstanding results achieved. Debtor days, queries and bad debt have all been reduced to a low level.

Magazine Credit Manager of the Year

This year's finalists were:

The winning credit manager demonstrated the ability to lead a team, deliver projects and develop policies. These were all reasons as to why they were the overall winner.

This year's finalists were:

The winning credit controller consistently recovers high levels of revenue each month ensuring customers adhere to the company credit terms.

The winning credit supplier demonstrated a professional service with a high debt collection rate. One testimonial stated that a collection of over 79 per cent of all debts referred was maintained.

During the PPA credit management committee meetings that are held monthly, the name of this agency has come up on several occasions. This agency has been known due to their overall payment performance and ability to resolve queries.
