PPA Scotland

Home to the businesses that together make up Scotland's thriving professional publishing sector.

Magazine publishing in Scotland goes back a long way. The world’s oldest surviving consumer magazine – The Scots Magazine – was launched in Edinburgh on 9 February 1739 and is still going strong, now owned by DC Thomson. From medicine to music, from golf to whales, from floral art to vampires, from education to fishing, Scotland’s magazine publishing industry is flourishing and the leading companies are members of PPA.
