Amanda Anderton is Co-Founder of Hope + Anchor, an award-winning independent Strategic Insight Agency based in East London. Amanda has 20 years experience in brand strategy, specialising in providing audience insight for the Media, TV and Publishing industries. She has helped Immediate Media understand the content needs of ‘tween’ girls, enabled John Brown Media to understand paid-for content opportunities amongst fashionistas, and assisted Time Inc. in proving the value of their titles to the tech giants. Amanda is a life-long hoarder of magazines and has copies of Smash Hits dating back to the early 80’s. Now a mother-of-two, she has reluctantly removed the Bros posters from her bedroom wall.

A former investment banker, Jonathan launched the UK’s largest childcare facility in London’s financial district, selling the company in 2000. In 2004 he started a magazine publishing business in South Africa, which he sold to Media24 in 2009, subsequently running their Developing Market Division. He was Chairman of the Magazine Publishers Association of South Africa and a board director of Print Media South Africa. Jonathan is currently CEO/Founder of Zeddit, a customer data platform enabling publishers to deeply understand the behaviour of potential magazine subscribers on their websites and target them with personalised subscription offers based on their behavior.

Julian is the owner of The Big Wheel Consultancy which provides strategic consultancy to clients, across industry sectors, seeking to maximise their recurring revenues. He is also the Non Exec Chairman of the rapidly growing lead generation company Love Media Sales. Julian’s past positions include CEO of Dovetail Services, Marketing Director of Saga Publishing and Circulation Director of Dennis Publishing as well as an enjoyable stint as the Chairman of the PPA Customer Direct committee.

Kerin O’Connor joined Dennis Publishing in 1996 as marketing manager, when the company acquired The Week magazine. He became Associate Publisher within a year and Publisher a year later. In 2000, he joined the Executive Board as International Licensing Director, where he took on responsibility for the overseas expansion of Maxim, launching the title successfully in over 30 territories around the world. In 2004, he became Deputy MD of the Consumer Division. In January 2006, his role changed to Executive Director and he renewed his focus on The Week, where he became MD. O’Connor became Chief Executive of Dennis Publishing’s flagship title, The Week, in 2011; shortly afterwards in 2012 he was awarded the PPA Publisher of the Year award for his work for the magazine. His focus on expanding the brand into the digital format has grown the magazine into the highest-selling quality weekly subscriptions magazine and the biggest paid-for digital magazine in the UK. Under O’Connor’s watch, The Week has seen 35 consecutive circulation increases in a trying market and has won a range of awards including Consumer Magazine of the Year in both 2012 and 2015. Globally, The Week is one of the fastest growing print magazines of the last decade. The print magazine’s success has been recently matched by the rapid growth of its award winning digital editions and daily news websites, www.theweek.co.uk and www.theweek.com and its digital advertising growth.

I am the brand marketing manager for the hobbies portfolio within Bauer Media. Working across nine of their most historic brands including, Practical Photography, Country Walking, Model Rail, to name a few. I have been instrumental in developing campaigns that can further the brands reach, increase newsstand sales and data pots whilst delivering YOY subscription growth. In the 20 years, I have worked in publishing I have been fortunate enough to work in every department. Including commercial, editorial, subs acquisition, and brand marketing. Understanding a department’s pressures has been the key in delivering the hugely successful campaigns and promotions that I have implemented.
Nick Worth has more than two decades of experience as a marketing and strategy leader in the US and Europe. Nick joined the Selligent Executive Advisory Board in 2013, and named the company’s first Chief Marketing Officer a year later. After stints in market research and strategy consulting, Nick co-founded Schematic, a global digital agency that grew from three people in a Santa Monica coffee shop to $100mm leader in digital marketing and multi-platform services design during his tenure as President. Schematic was acquired by WPP in 2007 and is now part of POSSIBLE.

Begley built this start-up from the bottom up, brick by brick, to its current position where it now deals with all the leading UK publishers and its rapidly growing consumer footprint already covers 50 territories worldwide. That has meant constantly shifting between strategic planning, day-to-day management and raising funding, all undertaken at top speed. In addition to her UK responsibilities, Begley is now leading Readly's expansion into new markets around the world. Prior to founding Readly UK, Begley held a number of senior management positions in marketing and business development roles in publishing and fulfilment companies including Dovetail, Highbury House, CDS Global and UBM plc.
Chief Customer Officer, Chief Customer Officer
Robert Bridge joined The Telegraph Media Group (TMG) in March 2016, in the newly created role of Chief Customer Officer. His remit encompasses marketing, design and UX, data and insight, brand management and customer experience initiatives. Prior to joining TMG, Robert was Vice President of International Marketing and Editorial at Yahoo, where he had responsibility for all content on Yahoo's media properties and consumer and B2B marketing across EMEA, LATAM, India, South East Asia and Canada. Before joining Yahoo in 2010, he was the global director of marketing at Phorm, the digital tech company. Robert previously worked at the Telegraph between 2001 and 2003 as a strategic development manager. His first job after graduating was on the John Lewis management programme. Robert received a BSC in Environmental Biology from Newcastle University.
