Wallpaper* announces senior team changes
Wallpaper* has announced two changes to the senior editorial team. Tony Chambers becomes the Brand and Content Director and Sarah Douglas becomes the Editor.
Ellie Austin scored a job at Immediate Media as a Features Writer for Radio Times after graduating from the Magazine Journalism MA course at City University. Here she talks about working in the fast-paced world of a major weekly magazine and the power of a good coffee.
Chambers spent five years as Creative Director and 10 successful years as Editor-in-Chief for the international design, interiors and lifestyle title. His responsibilities will involve developing new product propositions, technologies and growth in international territories.
Douglas, Wallpaper*’s current Creative Director, has been with the brand for 10 years. She will continue to deliver growth across the print and digital businesses in her new role.
“The Wallpaper* brand has never been stronger and I’m thrilled to be focusing on the future, our global expansion and ensuring we capitalise on that strength. I’m delighted for Sarah – the perfect person to ensure the core business is as fresh, innovative and as relevant as ever,” Chambers commented.
Douglas added: “I am proud and truly honoured to become the next Editor of Wallpaper*. As we celebrate our 21st anniversary, I look forward to working closely with our team, collaborators and creative community to continue to engage, inspire and shape this exciting new chapter.”
The changes come into effect immediately.
