Amanda Anderton is Co-Founder of Hope + Anchor, an award-winning independent Strategic Insight Agency based in East London. Amanda has 20 years experience in brand strategy, specialising in providing audience insight for the Media, TV and Publishing industries. She has helped Immediate Media understand the content needs of ‘tween’ girls, enabled John Brown Media to understand paid-for content opportunities amongst fashionistas, and assisted Time Inc. in proving the value of their titles to the tech giants. Amanda is a life-long hoarder of magazines and has copies of Smash Hits dating back to the early 80’s. Now a mother-of-two, she has reluctantly removed the Bros posters from her bedroom wall.

Ranj Begley is the Managing Director of Readly UK, the ground-breaking, all-you-can-read magazine service. Readly has won a series of awards around Europe, including the PPA's prestigious App of the Year. Begley built this start-up from the bottom up, brick by brick, to its current position where it now deals with all the leading UK publishers and its rapidly growing consumer footprint already covers 50 territories worldwide. That has meant constantly shifting between strategic planning, day-to-day management and raising funding, all undertaken at top speed. In addition to her UK responsibilities, Begley is now leading Readly's expansion into new markets around the world. Prior to founding Readly UK, Begley held a number of senior management positions in marketing and business development roles in publishing and fulfilment companies including Dovetail, Highbury House, CDS Global and UBM plc.
Chief Customer Officer, Chief Customer Officer
Robert Bridge joined The Telegraph Media Group (TMG) in March 2016, in the newly created role of Chief Customer Officer. His remit encompasses marketing, design and UX, data and insight, brand management and customer experience initiatives. Prior to joining TMG, Robert was Vice President of International Marketing and Editorial at Yahoo, where he had responsibility for all content on Yahoo's media properties and consumer and B2B marketing across EMEA, LATAM, India, South East Asia and Canada. Before joining Yahoo in 2010, he was the global director of marketing at Phorm, the digital tech company. Robert previously worked at the Telegraph between 2001 and 2003 as a strategic development manager. His first job after graduating was on the John Lewis management programme. Robert received a BSC in Environmental Biology from Newcastle University.

Susie Donnelly is a Research Director at Hope + Anchor, with 15 years experience as a planner and researcher. Specialising in publishing, retail and the third sector, her career to date has included strategic planning for The Times Newspapers, branded content development for John Brown Media, and heading up insight for ad agency Spring. She has worked on editorial and marketing strategy across Times Media, and on content strategy for Waitrose, John Lewis & Great Ormond Street Hospital Charity magazines. Magazines have been a guiding force throughout Susie’s life. As a teenager Just 17 taught her everything she needed to know about life, style and relationships. More recently Which? has ignited a passionate household debate about the need for a handheld vacuum cleaner.

I am the brand marketing manager for the hobbies portfolio within Bauer Media. Working across nine of their most historic brands including, Practical Photography, Country Walking, Model Rail, to name a few. I have been instrumental in developing campaigns that can further the brands reach, increase newsstand sales and data pots whilst delivering YOY subscription growth. In the 20 years, I have worked in publishing I have been fortunate enough to work in every department. Including commercial, editorial, subs acquisition, and brand marketing. Understanding a department’s pressures has been the key in delivering the hugely successful campaigns and promotions that I have implemented.
Head of Optimisation, Bauer Media
Stemming a 12 year career with Bauer Media, Leah gained a wealth of experience across both the print and digital businesses, before moving across to the Marketing team where she managed the digital marketing channels for the Subscriptions department. It was here she developed a taste for Ecommerce and took on her biggest role yet as the Head of Optimisation. In 2015 she formed the departments CRO team and is now responsible for growing online revenues and sales via Greatmagazines.co.uk.
A former investment banker, Jonathan launched the UK’s largest childcare facility in London’s financial district, selling the company in 2000. In 2004 he started a magazine publishing business in South Africa, which he sold to Media24 in 2009, subsequently running their Developing Market Division. He was Chairman of the Magazine Publishers Association of South Africa and a board director of Print Media South Africa. Jonathan is currently CEO/Founder of Zeddit, a customer data platform enabling publishers to deeply understand the behaviour of potential magazine subscribers on their websites and target them with personalised subscription offers based on their behavior.

Parry started his career in media sales at Haymarket before joining The Specialist Works over 10 years ago, helping it grow from 10 people in a small office in Shoreditch to 150+ people within 9 offices across Europe and North America. He has risen through the business and today is the Chief Operating Officer. Parry is responsible for the agency’s expansion into Europe and North America, the growth of transactional sales business i-transact, staff engagement and day to day business operations. Kirsten Morrison, Head of Digital, for DCT Media has worked across a multitude of media platforms over the last 20 years for major national, regional, local and hyper local news brands in the United Kingdom both on and off line. After working at Trinity Mirror on the commercial and marketing side, laterally as Marketing Director she then went on to build her own consultancy business, be involved in various start-ups and was recruited as Head of Digital for DC Thomson Media 4 years ago. Her role there extends across the news and magazine portfolio, being responsible for the digital products -web, mobile web and apps as well as Energy Voice, a pure play digital product. The digital team is 22 strong and currently supports over 80websites. From web development to SEO and analytics the team support DCT Media as well as wider Group Companies. At the heart of everything the team does at DCT Media is audience and data -a user centric approach drives content, service and product develop.

Kerin O’Connor joined Dennis Publishing in 1996 as marketing manager, when the company acquired The Week magazine. He became Associate Publisher within a year and Publisher a year later. In 2000, he joined the Executive Board as International Licensing Director, where he took on responsibility for the overseas expansion of Maxim, launching the title successfully in over 30 territories around the world. In 2004, he became Deputy MD of the Consumer Division. In January 2006, his role changed to Executive Director and he renewed his focus on The Week, where he became MD. O’Connor became Chief Executive of Dennis Publishing’s flagship title, The Week, in 2011; shortly afterwards in 2012 he was awarded the PPA Publisher of the Year award for his work for the magazine. His focus on expanding the brand into the digital format has grown the magazine into the highest-selling quality weekly subscriptions magazine and the biggest paid-for digital magazine in the UK. Under O’Connor’s watch, The Week has seen 35 consecutive circulation increases in a trying market and has won a range of awards including Consumer Magazine of the Year in both 2012 and 2015. Lovehoney are the UK's largest online retailer of sex toys.

Julian is the owner of The Big Wheel Consultancy which provides strategic consultancy to clients, across industry sectors, seeking to maximise their recurring revenues. He is also the Non Exec Chairman of the rapidly growing lead generation company Love Media Sales. Julian’s past positions include CEO of Dovetail Services, Marketing Director of Saga Publishing and Circulation Director of Dennis Publishing as well as an enjoyable stint as the Chairman of the PPA Customer Direct committee.
Commercial Director, YouGov PLC
Will is YouGov’s commercial director, working globally to develop new propositions and drive next-generation revenue growth; with a particular focus at the moment on integrating YouGov data with adtech partners. Will joined the business in 2015 to lead the Account Management team and was promoted into his new role in September 2016. Prior to joining YouGov Will held senior research and commercial positions at a number of leading Market Research agencies and start-ups. Will holds a BA in Economics from the University of Sussex, is an avid cyclist, semi-retired rugby player and trustee of the tri-life.org.uk charity.
Nick Worth has more than two decades of experience as a marketing and strategy leader in the US and Europe. Nick joined the Selligent Executive Advisory Board in 2013, and named the company’s first Chief Marketing Officer a year later. After stints in market research and strategy consulting, Nick co-founded Schematic, a global digital agency that grew from three people in a Santa Monica coffee shop to $100mm leader in digital marketing and multi-platform services design during his tenure as President. Schematic was acquired by WPP in 2007 and is now part of POSSIBLE.
