PPA Connect Week 2016 kicked off with a bang at the PPA Connect Launch Party! The venue was The Magic Roundabout, a brilliant new venue located right in the middle of Old Street Roundabout. Accessed via a secret staircase in the tube station, The Magic Roundabout is a unique party space, offering award-winning street food, beautiful cocktails, craft beers and great music, all in an outdoor setting. Below is a summary of what we covered, and who took part. These webinars are available On Demand here.
10:00 - What’s Working in Sponsorship Sales in 2016
For many clients, sponsorship is a difficult to justify investment, which can make it a tough sell for sponsorship sales teams. To help clients understand that sponsorship can be used to dramatically elevate the impact of their marketing campaigns, salespeople need to prioritise their understanding of why it works for the audience.
> Selling a feeling: how to tap into the emotional side of buying
> The importance of safety and trust: understanding the science behind how your audience’s brains work, and how you can use that to convince clients
> The best sponsorship salespeople are storytellers – how to sell the intangibles
> How to help your client understand why they are buying from you, not just what they are buying - leading with the “why” of sponsorship
11:30 - Delegate Sales: Making Your Event a Priority
In today’s market, potential delegates have more opportunities to learn and network than ever before, so there needs to be a compelling reason why they should prioritise your event. Delegates sales people need to lead people to their differentiation by creating a brief, but compelling conversation.
> How to lead people to your event and create the initial conversation
> E-selling – how to write impactful emails that get a response
> The importance of selling-on: how to sell the result and impact of that result to help the delegate justify the investment
14:00 The Multi-Platform Sell: Avoiding the Paradox of Choice
In this rapidly changing media landscape, there are now so many different ways for an organisation to connect with its audience that it can often lead to a paradox of choice. Having so many platforms can make the sell more confusing, which can make your clients less open to exploring new ideas.
> Why should a client buy anything from you?
> Understanding how audiences buy from your clients:
> Audience journey: Mapping the right messages
> Audience journey: Measuring the success of multi-platform campaigns
> Audience journey: Using this understanding to have a conversation with your client about the right platforms to invest in
15:30 - Proving the Value of Your Solution
In today’s climate, clients will only buy what they think will work and only continue to invest in what they know has worked. The onus used to be on the salesperson alone as to whether their client achieved ROI or not. Today we need to readdress the balance of how clients work with sales people so maximum value of every investment is achieved.
> What does ROI and ROO really mean?
> How to make your product work for your client
> Tools to educate your client on what they need to do to make the most of the partnership
> How to be audience-led and not product-led
> Driving your client’s measurement criteria and helping them understand how to measure it
> Being clear on what you can genuinely promise your client
We will be hosting all of our activities across a variety of exciting venues in London, to offer you a unique experience at each PPA Connect Week event.
