Independent Publisher Awards 2010

December 7, 2010

Vinopolis, No.1 Bank End, London SE1 9BU

PPA's Independent Publisher Conference and Awards is the must-attend event of the year for smaller, independent publishers.

Taking place on Tuesday, December 7 at Vinopolis this flagship event comprises a half-day conference, followed by a lunchtime awards ceremony.

The conference will provide the perfect opportunity for independent publishers to explore the industry as it stands today and to debate how it will evolve tomorrow. A line up of top industry speakers will share their expertise, illustrating their knowledge with examples and case studies.

The awards are the ultimate accolade for the achievements of independent publishers, celebrating the dynamic contribution made to the publishing industry and the entrepreneurial spirit of the smaller publisher. They will be presented during a lunchtime ceremony following the morning forum.

There are 13 awards and 2010 sees the introduction of several new categories, including ‘Sales Person of the Year'. The awards are open to publications, websites, brands, companies and individuals. For the purpose of these awards, an independent publisher is classified as having a turnover of £10m or below.

The judges recognise that trading has continued to be tough and expect entries to be as much about ‘digging-in' and holding market positions as about breaking new ground.

Deadline for entries - Wednesday, September 22, 2010.

The agenda for the Independent Publishers Conference that will take place before the awards lunch is currently being finalised.
