Independent Publisher Awards 2009
Vinopolis, No.1 Bank End, London SE1 9BU
PPA's Independent Publisher Awards celebrated the entrepreneurial spirit and achievements of independent publishers at a lunchtime ceremony at Vinopolis on December 1, 2009.
Previously held as part of the PPA Annual Conference, the Independent Publisher Awards was held as a standalone event for the first time in 2009. The awards were presented by star of the BBC's Dragons' Den and chairman of Fresh Egg, James Caan.
The awards ceremony and lunch were preceded by a forum, where an expert panel discussed issues relevant to the independent publishing sector. Chaired by Guy Browning, journalist and commentator, the 'Question Time' panelists included:
- Mark Frith, Editor, Time Out
- Rob Grimshaw, Managing Director, FT.com
- Steve Gilroy, Chief Executive, Vistage
- Clive Foskett, Signature Publishing
