The Publishers' Content Forum (PCF) is an informal alliance of trade associations, businesses and representative organisations at both UK and EU level from across the digital and print publishing sector whose business interests lie in the creation and commercial exploitation of digital and print content.
PCF was formed in March 2009 to give a collective and representative voice to the publishing industry on a broad range of regulatory and legislative issues affecting the future of print and digital content including, but not limited to, intellectual property, digital standards, licensing, legal deposit, freedom of expression and the creative economy.
PCF provides a platform for the publishing industry to explore key issues, share concerns, and adopt common positions on issues which affect the future of the sector; to represent these views and interests by communicating with a strong and unified voice to policy makers at both UK and EU level and to influence the policy-making process; to promote innovation and co-operation within the publishing sector; to advocate the economic, cultural and social contribution which the industry makes; and to share non-competitive information amongst the different sectors within the industry.
