Shortlist unveiled a “bold, modern and very masculine” redesign.The redesign launches with a cover interview with actor Michael Fassbender and features several new sections, according to Press Gazette. New editorial includes a page called ‘The Chosen Few’ that highlights best buys, a new film page called ‘Screen 7’ and a new back section called ‘Man: Machine’ that looks at adventure, travel, and fitness.
Woman's Weekly unveils its Diamond Jubilee special
Woman’s Weekly published a 100-page Diamond Jubilee tribute issue dedicated to Her Majesty The Queen.The glossy one-off special – called The Queen's Diamond Jubilee – features readers’ recollections of meeting The Queen and a look back at how her style has evolved during her reign. Editorial also includes 60 fascinating facts about the 60 years of The Queen's reign and a double page spread of candid and unguarded moments captured on duty.
ELLE UK appoints new entertainment team
ELLE UK appointed two new entertainment correspondents to source its celebrity content.Lisa Hintelmann has been named Contributing Entertainment Director and will be US based and Seamus Duff has been appointed as Entertainment Editor and will work from the UK office. It is the first time the brand’s entertainment role has been split between the UK & US.
Mollie Makes to publish branded craft books
Mollie Makes partnered with publisher Anova Books to create a series of Mollie Makes-branded craft books.The first title Mollie Makes Christmas will be published in October 2012, followed by Mollie Makes Flowers & Birds in the Spring. It is the first brand extension for the craft title and the books will retail at £9.99.
Bauer Media launches magazine reality TV show 'The Exclusives'
Bauer Media launched a new reality TV series that will see one wannabe journalist win a job on one of its glossy magazines. The Exclusives, a seven-part series, aired for the first time on ITV2 last week and saw one of the six young journalists battle to land a 12-month contract with the publishing giant. Bauer has partnered with LG Mobile in a fully integrated multi-platform marketing campaign promoting the new series.
