Imagine Publishing merges Xbox brands
Imagine Publishing announced that its X360 and 360 Magazine brands will merge with immediate effect.The new title will continue to be published under the X360 name and the first issue goes on sale on 11 July. It features in-depth editorial on every major title from E3, exclusive interviews and access for a number of secret games and an enhanced DVD.
Vogue to launch in Ukraine
Condé Nast announced it will publish Vogue in the Ukraine. The publisher has signed a license partnership with UMH Group, one of the region’s leading media companies, and the title is expected to hit newsstands in the next 12 months. Vogue Ukraine will be the twentieth edition of the magazine worldwide. Jonathan Newhouse, Chairman and Chief Executive of Condé Nast International, said: “The Ukraine is ready for Vogue. Kiev is booming, and there is a strong market demand for luxury products and the experience Vogue can offer the reader.”
Hearst Magazines UK appoints new House Beautiful Publisher
Hearst Magazines UK appointed Zoe Jobson to the position of Publisher of House Beautiful.Jobson was previously Head of Brand Marketing at Hearst Magazines UK, takes on her new role from 25 June and replaces outgoing Publisher Chris Tarafa. House Beautiful sits within Hearst UK’s Lifestyle Group which comprises Country Living, Good Housekeeping and Prima, and has a circulation of 132,962.
Empire expands into the US market
Empire launched an iPad edition of the magazine in the US.The US iPad edition will follow the same blueprint as the UK version and will be a fully interactive app featuring embedded film trailers and innovative advertising opportunities. Editorial will be tailored to the US market with a team on board to deliver localised content that accommodates different release dates and streaming reviews.
Hearst Magazines agrees Coast and Psychologies deal
Hearst Magazines UK agreed a deal with Kelsey Publishing Ltd to sell Coast Magazine and transfer its licence with Groupe Psychologies to publish Psychologies in the UK.Coast Magazine, which has a circulation of over 40,000, is solely owned by Hearst Magazines UK and Psychologies is published under license from Groupe Psychologies in France. After a short period of consultation, the Psychologies and Coast teams will move to the Kelsey HQ in Kent. There will be no interruption to the publishing schedule of either title.
