Diamond Queen features a collection of beautiful imagery and video footage, giving a glimpse into the life of the Queen through nine decades.

The 14 galleries cover early childhood, marriage, public life, horses and daywear – the content has been taken from the Getty Images archive and edited by the Country Life editorial team.

Country Life Editor Mark Hedges said: “You could say that this App has been 86 years in the making, as this series of pictures, including some by Lord Lichfield, covers the astonishing breadth of her life.

“I don’t think such a wonderful collection of images of Her Majesty has ever been put together before.

“Starting with charming pictures of her childhood, we follow The Queen in her most formal and intimate settings.”

Diamond Queen went on sale yesterday and is available in the app store, priced £3.99.
