Empire is launching an iPad edition of the magazine in the US.
The title launched earlier this week and aims to tap into the 500,000 monthly unique users that already visit the website in the states.
The US iPad edition will follow the same blueprint as the UK version and will be a fully interactive app featuring embedded film trailers and innovative advertising opportunities.
Editorial will be tailored to the US market with a team on board to deliver localised content that accommodates different release dates and streaming reviews.
Rimi Atwal, Publishing Director at Bauer Media for Empire, said: “We are thrilled to be launching the Empire brand into the U.S. market and this bespoke iPad edition of the magazine.
“As an authoritative film brand Empire has long delivered an engaging and unrivalled experience for movie fans, and we are delighted to be bringing a US movie magazine back to the home of movies.”
The magazine brand has also produced its first TV advert to promote the Dark Knight Rises issue, which you can watch below.
