Condé Nast has announced plans that will see it launch Vogue in Thailand.
It is the 21st international edition of the magazine and closely follows the announcement that Vogue will launch in the Ukraine in 2013.
The publisher has signed a license agreement to publish the fashion title in partnership with Serendipity Media Co. Ltd, a new Thai company established for this venture.
Nigel Oakins has been named Executive Chairman of Serendipity Media Co. Ltd and Siri Udomritthiruj, previously Managing Director of The Post Publishing magazine division, is Chief Executive.
Kullawit Laosuksri, formerly Editor-in-Chief of Elle Thailand for nine years, has been named as Editor of Vogue Thailand.
Jonathan Newhouse, Chairman and Chief Executive of Condé Nast International, said: “Condé Nast International is pleased to begin publishing in Thailand.
“It has a well-established media market, and there’s a strong appetite for luxury fashion and beauty among its sophisticated urban consumers. The time is now right for Vogue.”
