The new model means that tablet owners can pay $10 a month for an ‘unlimited basic’ package or $14 for the ‘unlimited premium’ allowing them to buy all the magazines that they want to read.

They can also purchase individual magazine subscriptions, ranging in price from $1.99 to $5.99 per month and individual magazine issues ranging from $2.49 to $5.99.

The app contains 39 titles from publishers including Condé Nast, Hearst, Meredith, News Corp and Time Inc.

Morgan Guenther, CEO of Next Issue Media, said: “With the unlimited plans offering access to our entire catalogue from a single intuitive App and personal library, we’re delivering magazines the way consumers want to read them.

“It’s like having an entire magazine rack stocked with only the very best titles but you can browse or read any issue, any time, on your iPad.”

The app had previously only been available on the Android platform with the same unlimited subscription model.

The offer is available to subscribers for free for the first 30 days, during which period they are able to cancel the subscription at any time.
