Girl Talk magazine is offering young writers the opportunity to spend a day working as a journalist.
The competition, launched in partnership with the launch of the book Dork Diaries: Dear Dork, will see one winner and her friend become part of the magazine’s editorial team in February.
To enter, readers must send in a 25-50 word gossip story about their favourite celebrity in the style of Girl Talk magazine.
Entries will be judged by Girl Talk’s editorial team and the winner will be the most creative and attention-grabbing entry.
The winner and her friend will then be invited to the office in London to have lunch with the Editor, Bea Appleby, explore the Girl Talk fashion cupboard then have their picture taken in an outfit of their choice, attend a cover meeting and create a mock-up page.
Bea Appleby, Editor of Girl Talk magazine, said “This a really exciting opportunity for a young person to experience what it’s like to work as a journalist and get a taste of the magazine industry.
“We can’t wait to see the articles from our readers, who we know are very talented, and meet whoever wins.”
