The awards, now in their sixteenth year, will include the long-standing award categories presented in previous years as well as a new category - the Hugo Boss Most Stylish Man Award.

GQ said the award would be presented to a gentleman of ‘great sartorial calibre, with classic and timeless style’.

The GQ Men of the Year Awards 2013 will be held on September 3 at the Royal Opera House in London’s Covent Garden.

Dylan Jones, Editor of GQ, said: “Our finest hour, the GQ Men of the Year Awards reached their zenith in 2012 with 15 of Team GB’s Olympic and Paralympics’ luminaries on our stage, preceded by everyone who’s anyone in the worlds of film, fashion, finance, food, music, media, literature and comedy.

“With Hugo Boss, we’ll be bringing together the giants of 2013 across all the realms our magazine covers, and yet again creating quite a night.”
