Apple reveals iPad launch date
iPad, Apple’s eagerly anticipated tablet device, is scheduled to hit stores in the US on April 3, paidContent: UK reports.
The company will offer a wi-fi version initially, followed by a 3G version later in the month.
Prices start from $499 and pre-orders begin on March 12.
Apple is yet to set a date for availability in the UK and paidContent:UK highlights that retail network partners are also yet to be revealed.
Apple used an advertising break during the Oscars ceremony to screen its first adverts for the iPad.
The Daily Telegraph
reports that the 30-second ad (below) provides a whirlwind tour of all of the functions on the device to a soundtrack of The Blue Van’s 'There Goes My Love’.
