Future has announced its acquisition of the TV and digital video production company, Barcroft Studios.
Barcroft Studios creates content for more than 50 global platforms and receives more than 75 million views a month on YouTube. The company also produces television for world- networks, broadcasters and streaming platforms, including Netflix, National Geographic Channel, the BBC and Channel 4.
On the acquisition, Future’s CEO, Zillah Byng-Thorne, said: “I am so excited to welcome the team at Barcroft Studios to Future, especially after such an amazing year for both companies. Future is a platform with pioneering media at its heart, and I believe this aligns perfectly with Barcroft Studios’ vision of making content that disrupts and inspires. Through melding Future’s multi-platform brands and expertise in SEO and technology with Barcroft Studios’ exceptional video content, I believe we will create a unique opportunity.”
Barcroft Studios’ CEO, Sam Barcroft, added: “We’re delighted to be joining the Future family.
