NewstrAid to host first live event for 2 years this Christmas thanks to industry support

NewstrAid, the charity which supports people working in the sale and distribution of newspapers and magazines in the UK has announced the return of its live Christmas Carol Service thanks to support from the news trade

The live event will take place at St Brides Church, Fleet Street on Monday 6th December at 6.45pm and aims to bring the industry together to celebrate the festive season after a difficult 2 years for everyone in the trade.

Neil Jagger, CEO for NewstrAid said: “We are absolutely delighted to be organising our first live event since the pandemic hit and have been overwhelmed by the financial support we have received from across the industry in order to make the event possible.

“We hope that as many people as possible from the newspaper and magazine industry will be able to join us to kick off Christmas in style. The Carol service is always a magical way to get into the festive spirit and a great excuse to come together and celebrate with friends and colleagues from across the industry after what has been a very difficult 18 months for everyone.”

With sponsors including wholesalers, publishers and distributors, the special event will include carols and Christmas music from the famous St Brides Choir along with festive readings by colleagues from the industry. Tickets cost £20 (£15 concessions) and can be booked by emailing lindsay@newstraid.org.uk
