With the Conservatives winning an 80-seat majority at last week’s General Election, the Prime Minister has carried out a mini-reshuffle, in which Nicky Morgan retains the brief as Culture Secretary.
She stood down from her Loughborough constituency before the election and will take a seat in the House of Lords to retain the Cabinet post.
It is widely expected Johnson will conduct a Whitehall reorganisation and a large scale reshuffle in February, after the EU Withdrawal Bill has been passed by Parliament and the UK has formally left the EU on January 31, when Morgan will be replaced at DCMS.
