The shortlist for this year’s PPA Awards has been revealed highlighting the huge amount of talent across the industry.

Each year, the highly sought-after PPA Awards are given to the very best professional publishers across the UK. The judging panel for The PPA Awards 2021 featured 51 senior industry professionals who decided on the shortlist from almost 400 entries. The winners will be announced at the virtual PPA Awards ceremony along with the Cover of the Year, which will be decided by the public.

Proudly supported by Shutterstock Editorial, this year’s top ten shortlisted front covers showcase creativity across an important and diverse range of topics. The public vote for Cover of the Year is now open until June 4 and we invite you to vote daily.

PPA CEO, Owen Meredith, said: “The PPA Awards truly recognised the very best of the best in publishing, shining a light on outstanding talent and achievements across consumer magazines and business media. In the current climate, it is more important than ever to celebrate and reward the hard work and resilience across our industry, and the many success stories that sit behind these shortlists.”

Steph McCabe, PPA Events & Marketing Manager added: “The excitement and passion in the Zoom rooms on judging day was palpable, with 51 judges joining together from all corners of the UK to review the whopping 373 entries. The judges were blown away by the exceptional success stories and, this year in particular, we really didn’t envy their job of deciding the winners.

“As we look at the achievements across 2020, one thing is very clear; publishers are resilient, adaptable, innovative and inspirational, and our industry is in very good health. Congratulations to everyone who entered and to our shortlist this year!”
