Riz Ahmed Announced as a Contributing Editor for British Vogue

Emmy-winning actor, musician, director, writer and activist, Riz Ahmed, has been appointed as a Contributing Editor for British Vogue. Reporting directly into Editor-in-Chief, Edward Enninful, Riz’s first essay as a Contributing Editor is featured in the ‘Activism Now’ September issue of British Vogue.

As a passionate artist who has exemplified his commitment to helping reshape society, Riz will be championing the conversations that are needed to move towards a positive future.

Riz Ahmed said: “I am delighted to be joining British Vogue as a Contributing Editor. I’m excited to be a part of the change that Edward Enninful and British Vogue are making to our culture, at this pivotal moment."

British Vogue Editor-in-Chief, Edward Enninful added: “I am thrilled to welcome Riz Ahmed to British Vogue as a Contributing Editor. Riz is fiercely talented and his first essay for British Vogue is poignant as he details what he lost and learnt in lockdown. Riz will be the perfect voice to draw attention to the hard truths we need to face to make the necessary changes.”

Riz Ahmed, Contributing Editor for British Vogue, has written his first essay for the magazine in the ‘Activism Now’ September issue which is available on newsstands and via digital download on Friday 7th August.
