Aptly published on International Women's Day, this week we speak to Anatu Mahama, Editor in Chief of The Academic Woman. Founded in 2018 with the backdrop of the centenary of women's suffrage, Mahama wanted to create a space where women could share their stories and discuss key issues like diversity and the gender pay gap both within and out of academia. We talked about the actual process of starting an independent magazine, why we need to be talking about equity rather than equality and much more.
